Idled/ Shuttered Light
Metal Halide lamps expose at the fastest rate onl when all of the metals in the lamp are warmed to the proper temperature. Other systems use an "instant-start lamp" which "cold-strikes" with each exposure. The result is a longer exposure times due to warming time, and a shorter lamp life due to repetitive striking. In contrast, PhotoSharp uses an Idled / Shuttered lamp. The lamp is idled at a low wattage to maintain proper lamp temperature between exposures, instantly goes to full power for faster exposure speeds. Because the lamp is idled and not turned off completely, PhotoSharp offers a longer lamp Life.
Small / Focused Reflector
PhotoSharp's small, focused reflector has better light columnation than other systems available. The small reflector design offers less light undercutting for unsurpassed image resolution.
Light Intergrator Control
For consistant control over exposures, PhotoSharp utilizes a light integrator which measures and controls total light output for consistent control of exposures throughtout the lamp's life.
Optimum Spectral Output
For faster exposure times, lamp chemisty is spectrally matched with diazo and photopolymer sensitized emulsions.
Extra Large Screen Capacity
With a maximum screen capacity of 30" x 40" PhotoSharp can handle two manual press sized screens for faster throughput or one automatic press sized screen for your future expansion.
Durable Blanket
Durable, hold-down blanket has nylon-reinforcement to minimize wear and assure a long blanket life.
Powerful Vacuum
PhotoSharp's powerful vacuum quickly contours blacket to screen for excellent screen-to-film contact. THis feature eliminates detail loss from light undercutting.
Two-Part Cabinet
Easy Installation to facilitate installation in small or remote areas, PhotoSharp features a Two-Part Cabinet which easily disassembles to fit through a standard 30" doorway.
Easy Access Cleaning
PhotoSharp's Slide-Out Drawer and Removable Front Access Panel provide easy access cleaning.
