20"x24" Wood Screens
With well over a million made, these are the best wood screens on the planet! Hand built and assembled in the USA since 1983. We start with clear super strong kiln-dried douglas-fir. We miter the corners at 45 degrees, then glue and pin them with a high strength steel pin. By cutting the corners at 45 degree angles we eliminate exposure to all end grains of the wood. End grains will soak up chemicals and water which will ultimately warp the screen, often seen in tongue and groove screens. We finish them off with a dip in polyurethane to seal the whole thing up. We stretch all our frames with high quality Murakami® Smartmeshes®.
