Storage

60-90° (15-32°c)

40-80% Humidity

The handling conditions described above are the optimum room conditions to print the media. If the humidity is too high, the drying time will take longer. If the Humidity is too low, feeding the media into the plotter may become difficult.

Storage of unprinted media
Store the unprinted roll media in its original anti-static plastic sleeve, hobbins and box. Inkjet media should be kept in the same room or area as the inkjet plotter/printer. Returning the media to its original package helps to ensute print quality by

  • keeping dust and finger prints off the surface.
  • maintaining the humidity and temperature of the media.
  • Protecting the ends of the roll for easier feeding into the plotter.
  • Prolonging the shelf life of the media.

Storage and Handling

Short Rolls

  1. Place the unused portion of the roll back into the anti-static sleeve.
  2. Fold the excess plastic sleeve into the core and replace the hobbins in the core to hold the sleeve in place.
  3. Place the roll back in a vertical or horizontial position for storage

Sheets

  1. Replace unused sheets into their original zip-lock bag or package
  2. store the package on a flat surface away from direct sunlight.

Storage of printed Media

  1. Store printed Posters with paper between each sheet.
  2. Wrap plastic around the rolled up poster or place smaller sheets in zip lock bags these precautions will protect the print from getting damaged by rain or high humidity conditions.
